Observance of Swachhta Pakhwada

Day 2 : 2nd August, 2018, Thursday: All the NSS volunteers were divided into six groups and the first two groups (Group I and Group II) were assigned to clean 50% of the campus which included volleyball court, basketball court, corridors, college entrance and even the washroom area from 12:40 P.M onwards. These two groups were guided by NSS Coordinator Mr. Manoresh Thapa. The entire necessary items to clean the campus like plastic gloves, brooms, dust pans and dustbin were provided to the students. All the members of the two groups along with their leader cleaned the campus with utmost dedication and ensured that proper cleanliness and hygienic environment was maintained. The campus cleaning task continued till 2:40 P.M.
Day 3 : 3rd August, 2018, Friday: The next two groups (Group III and Group IV) of the NSS volunteers were assigned to clean the remaining 50% of the campus area which included mainly the classrooms at each level, auditorium and the corridors. These two groups were again assisted by the NSS coordinator Mr. Manoresh Thapa and the task started at 12:40 P.M. Again like the previous day all the necessary item were provided to the students and they enthusiastically completed the cleanliness task for the day which continued till 2:40 P.M.
Day 4 : 4th of August, 2018, Saturday: On the fourth day of the campaign the 5th group of the volunteers took the initiative to promote Green Campus through extensive plantation of saplings of flowers around the volleyball and basketball court. The students were assisted by Ma’am Tshering Dolma Sherpa and started the task at 1:40 which continued till 3:00 P.M. All the volunteers happily planted the saplings around the area and also cleaned the area.
Day 5 : 5th of August, 2018, Sunday: On the fifth day of the campaign the 6th group of the volunteers continued with the task of promoting Green Campus through extensive plantation of saplings. On this day the saplings were planted throughout front part of the campus. Also the volunteers cleaned the area by uprooting the unwanted weeds and picking up the dried leaves and plastics from around the area in order to help the maintenance of the planted saplings and other trees and shrubs. The students were assisted by NSS Coordinator Ms. Pinky Gupta and started the task at 12:40 P.M which continued till 2:40 P.M. All the volunteers and coordinators worked with enthusiasm and dedication towards the promotion of Clean and Green Campus.
