Salesian College Siliguri Campus Observed The World Environment Day
5 June 2017, Salesian College, Siliguri: The NSS unit of the Salesian College Siliguri Campus observed the World Environment Day by planting saplings of different varieties. The volunteers of NSS, members of the faculty with the Programme Officer, NSS Mr. Sandeep Sundas participated in the plantation. The plantation started at around 10am and continued till 12noon. The plants/saplings include Ashoka, Mango, Guava and some medicinal plants. The volunteers actively participated despite the scorching heat during the plantation to register the success in the first ever NSS activity organized for the academic year 2017-18. The programme was initiated to bring awareness among the volunteers. The volunteers dispersed after snacks.
