Dear Faculty and Students,

As you have completed the study programme of one more academic year and are waiting for the examinations to begin with abated breath, probably it is a good time to remind ourselves that unexpected delays as they happen must be taken in good spirit. Especially those things in our lives over which we have no control and are called upon to submit in good faith, will eventually bring us good indeed.

The College is geared for its new block to be constructed in Siliguri, after a prolonged attempt to get it started. This is an occasion to place on record our thanks to all civil authorities who have been instrumental in enabling us to move forward with the college building project so as to reach out to the needy in the region seeking quality higher education. It is indeed a matter of privilege both for the academic community and for those seeking educational opportunities to work jointly for quality educational opportunities in an area and region, where one would not expect to find such opportunities.

I have been observing over the past couple of years, the enthusiasm of young faculty joining the campus, to contribute their best to improving the quality of campus life for the students. A right mixture of academic initiatives with artistic, cultural and sports events creates a vibrancy that keeps young people on their toes, as it were, round the year.

The Alumni of the college, too have come forward in a small way to make their mark in the ongoing life of cumulative progress, creating an ambience of welcome and connectedness. The Management has looked into many a detail as to streamline and prioritize initiatives and to keep the momentum of teaching-learning with a consistent focus.

A number of outstanding students in various fields, beginning with the ranks in the university, being toppers in sports events nationally and even internationally, have succeeded to raise the benchmark of expectations from those who are on the verge of joining into the campus.
